Sunshine Coast, B.C. – General Manager and Head Coach Brad Wingfield announced today that the team has committed to 2004-born defenceman Jayden Attwood (Vernon, BC).

Attwood (6’3”, 205 pounds) spent parts of the past two seasons in the VIJHL with the Campbell River Storm. He played 18 regular season games, registered one goal, and added six assists for seven points.

“I’m super grateful for the opportunity to become a Tsunami member,” said Attwood.

The right-shot defender is expected to play a significant role with his new team.

“With Atty, we get a big-bodied veteran defender that will provide leadership and stability in our room and on the ice,” said General Manager and Head Coach Brad Wingfield.

Attwood is the twenty-fourth player committed to playing for the new expansion franchise, the Tsunami, which will host the Surrey Knights at the GACC this weekend.
